One of the two types of devices defined by the BLE standard. Unlike the Central Device, the Peripheral exposes state or information and is assumed to be a low power device, with sources such as a coin cell. In many applications, the Peripherals spend the majority of their time asleep, waking when only when data needs to be sent.
