A network of physical devices that are connected via the Internet and that can communicate their status, respond to events or even act autonomously. Using sensors and actuators, the IoT connects digital devices and even everyday objects, thereby extending the Internet into the physical world. "Things" can include sensors recording the physiological measurements of humans.
