A variation of IoT malware that "bricks" the affected device, rendering it useless. This is in sharp contrast to traditional IoT Botnets such as Mirai, which hijack devices en masse to perform nefarious tasks. First appearing in early 2017, BrickerBot attacks devices running Linux's BusyBox, exploiting common default username and password combos.
