Glossary Term:
Level 3 Automated Vehicle

Limited Self-Driving Automation is the fourth level of the 5-level NHTSA vehicle classification system. The driver is expected to remain at the wheel, and, with "sufficiently comfortable transition time," is expected to be available for occasional control in places such as highway exits.
